The 2022 horror movie Barbarian takes place in a blighted neighborhood in modern day Detroit that -- according to the story -- was heavily affected by American migration centered around racism called White Flight. But instead of giving a review, I want to focus on how Detroit's White Flight impacted the actual neighborhood featured in the movie. Both what it got right, and especially what it got wrong.
